After completing an extensive National and International search process, RSA Elite & Puyallup Soccer Union Soccer Club is delighted to announce the arrival of Gwynne Williams. Gwynne has been named as the new Director of Soccer & Business Development. The appointment of Gwynne, and his vast experience at all levels of soccer from grassroots as the State Director of Alabama, college Lynn University Florida, professional in Europe and MLS with New England Revolution in addition to International experience with Bermuda Football Association. He will bring a wealth of knowledge on and off the field.
Gwynne has built up an extensive resume in the soccer market. The appointment of Gwynne will implement higher expectations, and opportunities to see more development for all players on the competitive and recreational side, better integration between the two programs for players who want to move up to a traveling team. Our aim as a soccer club is to provide the highest quality of coaching to optimize the development of every player within our care. Gwynne’s understanding of the game and ability to implement long-range planning and business development will benefit every player within the club. He will prove to be a huge asset to OUR organization.
The appointment of Gwynne will create a unique cohesiveness with our Director of Coaching in the advancement of our Player Development curriculum & Coaching Education. The future growth of our club cannot effectively grow and compete competitively unless we become better at what we do as club. To become consistently competitive, we must raise the standards of the club’s coaching staff and players. Coaching staff along with players cannot do it without administrative support. You cannot wish it to happen. You must build it, and to build it you must produce an effective plan.
Gwynne’s responsibilities are for the long-range planning and business development of RSA Elite & Puyallup Soccer Union in the community. He will work closely with the Puyallup City Council members and the Pierce County Parks and Recreation Superintendent along with the Chamber of Commerce Business Development Department to identified future land for future expansion. The development of the business plan for the organization. In this role, he will be working with City Councilors, County Supervisor, and initiate a partnership program with local businesses to bring this plan closer to fruition.
Additionally, he will coach several teams, and assist the Director of Coaching with the coaching education program for RSA Elite & Puyallup Soccer Union recreation coaches by implementing additional coaching manuals and conducting classroom and field sessions for coaches.
